Historic 147 Break, Ongoing Wuhan Open, and O’Sullivan's Season Plans

Snooker Weekly #13

Zhao Xintong delivered a perfect 147 break en route to his Q Tour Event 3 victory, making history with the first-ever maximum in the tournament. Meanwhile, Thepchaiya Un-Nooh faced heartbreak again by missing the final black in a 147 attempt for the third time. As the Wuhan Open progresses, big names are still in the mix, and Ronnie O'Sullivan hints at scaling back his schedule for the rest of the season.

🇨🇳 Zhao Xintong wins Q Tour and makes maximum
Zhao Xintong made a maximum 147 break - in his first match, against Shaun Liu - en route to winning Q Tour Event 3, marking an impressive performance. This was the first perfect break in a Q Tour event. His win brings him closer to regaining a place on the World Snooker Tour.

You can watch the whole break in a post in the Snooker Sverige FB group. A cool 6:30 minutes. Make sure to join the Facebook Group before you are able to watch it.

Meanwhile, Thepchaiya Un-Nooh breaks the record for missing the final black in 147 attempt third time in his career.

🇨🇳 Wuhan Open ongoing
Since last weekend the Wuhan Open has started, where round 2 just concluded where Shaun Murphy and Anthony Hamilton discussed the rules during a match. Let’s see what the tournament brings this week, where half of world’s top 16 is still in play.

👨‍🏫 Ronnie’s 24/25 season
Ronnie O'Sullivan plans to play a reduced schedule in the coming months, hinting that he may skip several upcoming events. Although he has participated regularly so far this season, including semi-final runs at the Shanghai Masters and Xi'an Grand Prix, he recently withdrew from the British Open and Wuhan Open. O'Sullivan has only committed to the International Championship in China next month and may decide on other events closer to their dates. Looks like he’s already making plans on what’s next on his path.
